Savannah Airport

The Savannah airport has a history as rich as the town itself!

The first aircraft landed in 1918, but Savannah would have its airfields taken over a few times before the first commercial flight (Delta 371 with 8 passengers) left Travis Field for Atlanta in 1949.

Now, the Savannah Hilton Head International Airport boasts new terminal expansions and an exceptional parking system.

As the center of air travel for South Carolina’s Low Country and Georgia’s Coastal Empire, you will not be surprised to learn that southern hospitality starts here. You won’t miss the red blazers of the Airport Ambassadors, all of whom volunteer their time to welcome and assist traveling guests.

The airport offers 33 nonstop daily departures to 11 cities with the following Airlines:United ExpressUs AirwaysAmerican EagleContinental AirlinesDeltaAllegiant Air

The Savannah Aviation Village is located near by and offers hotels, restaurants and a 27-hole public golf course.
