LaFayette Square

I just love LaFayette Square.

I don't know if it's the view of the Hamilton-Turner House, The Cathedral Of Saint John The Baptist, the birthplace of Flannery O'Connor or The Juliette Gordon Low House (where the founding of the Girl Scouts took place) but this square just makes me feel so good.

It always has.

During the St. Patrick's Day celebrations, the fountain is dyed green and the square is the center for many of the festivities. But, on any given day, it hums with activity and a really joyful vibe.

One could sit at that fountain and gaze at the twin spires of the cathedral for long, long time. It's that beautiful.
