Meinhardt Vineyards & Winery at City Market feels that sipping and shopping for wine in Savannah should be fun and not stuffy. Check your sensitive palate at the door.
These are mostly muscadine wines but they do blend with peach and blueberry. More flavors are on the way.
The muscadine is the unofficial state grape of Georgia and South Carolina. We grew up on them. Some call them scuppernongs.At any rate, they are very sweet and earthy so these wines reflect that, of course. They are 'fruit-forward', to say the least.
If you're looking for a real taste of the 'vintage' South, drop by for a tasting and talk with the staff. It's a true Georgia treat.
