Oglethorpe Square

Oglethorpe Square is the site of the Owens-Thomas House, one of the grandest in Savannah and part of the Telfair Museum system. It's one of the best home tours in the city.

Oglethorpe Square

A view that is not so lovely is the State Street Parking Garage but if you are driving in Savannah, looking for a place to park, this might be your new best friend.

The rates are cheap and there's almost always a free space in the garage. Plus, it's close to just about anywhere you'd want to walk.

There is no fountain or statue in the center of the square but the locals veterans have proposed a monument to honor the World War Two soldiers from Savannah.

To go onward, stay on Abercorn and go through Broughton Street past the Lucas Theatre until you arrive at Reynolds Square.
