Reynolds Square

Reynolds Square is home to the statue of the founder of Methodism, John Wesley.

His statue shows him preaching outdoors, as he did to the local Indians, infuriating his congregation who thought that all sermons must be given inside a church building.

Needless to say, Brother Wesley didn't hang around Savannah for too long.

On its northwestern side, Savannah's grande dame of restaurants, The Olde Pink House commands our rosy attention and beckons us with her tasty temptations.

Nearby, the Lucas Theatre, recently restored to its original Edwardian luster, features live music such as touring string quartets, ethnic folk groups and the like. It's stunning to behold.
