Favorite Savannah Bars, Pubs and Taverns
THE NUMBER ONE QUESTION IN SAVANNAH IS, "WHAT DO YOU WANT TO DRINK?"
When considering Savannah bars, the old joke in Georgia goes like this:
"In Atlanta, they ask you what you do for a living. In Macon, they ask you where you go to church. In Augusta, they ask you about your grandmother's maiden name. In Savannah, they ask you what you want to drink."
Like most good jokes, this one rings true and it's no joke that The Historic District of Savannah and Tybee Island have some of the funkiest bars on the east coast.
Want some cool cocktails or ice cold beer?
Check out our SAVANNAH VIBE PUB CRAWL (Or, how I stampeded two teams of buggy horses who were only standing still, just sipping water in City Market.)
Let us begin our licentious and libational odyssey in Savannah's beloved City Market on the Franklin Square end. (Cabs run to and fro frequently and everyone knows where this is so this is a good fulcrum from which to see and saw.) River Street is close by and the neighborhood is pretty safe, even late at night.
Over the years, we've had a lot of great experiences in Savannah. I'm pretty sure I held court at Pinkie Master's one night and then there was that time...
But this space isn't for me. It's for you!
Tell us about the good (or bad) times you've had in our bars, pubs and taverns and we'll create a web page to share with other visitors to the site.
