Savannah Hotels
Savannah hotels were like a God send when we started traveling with our infant. We use to stay in B&B's when traveling but that all changed during our first trip with Peyton. Savannah hotels are really bigger versions of a bed and breakfasts. The staff are well versed in events and happenings, and usually eager to share favorite restaurants and cocktail hours. Now a days breakfast is often included at hotels, but if cold cereal is not your thing (although I do like those hot cinnamon buns served at the breakfast bar in the Holiday Inn Express) there are plenty of great coffee shops and restaurants that will serve you up a fantastic gourmet breakfast. Hotels in Savannah can be fun because if you're here during the "hot" months you can cool off in a roof top pool. Of course hotels often offer a few more amenities such as fitness rooms and work areas, but as always, it's good to check to see what your hotel of choice offers. Hotels located in Savannah's historic district usually offer parking but it's often NOT included in the price. It's worth it though. Savannah is a walking town and we've often parked the car upon arrival and didn't use it again until we headed home. If you plan to head out to the beach or do a little shopping in the South End check to see if your hotel offers "in and out" parking. That can save you quite a bit in parking fees and possible tickets! Outside of the historic district you can find clusters of hotels near the airport and in the South End close to the Malls. Tybee Island has an ocean front hotel as well. This range in locations also offers a great range of prices to fit any budget!
